Documentation.
Our experience stems from the large variety of clients that we have and the even larger number of sectors we have been working in since our inception. This expertise has stood us in good stead while documenting processes of programmes and projects, compilation of case studies and covering workshops on multiple topics.
Primary information is collected through field visits to and extended discussions with stakeholders at all levels to understand the complex implementation procedures instituted to make the programme/project a success. Secondary information is sourced from the clients themselves, the public domain (websites, policies, Acts, etc) and knowledge that we have gained during our travails in the social development sector. The end result documentation displays a complete understanding of the programme/project objectives, implementation processes and results.
We capture Processes, Case Studies, Best Practices, Workshops and Events, both in print and through the audio-visual medium. Conceptualizing and developing context specific Print and Audio-Visual communication material is our forte.
Communication.
At the heart of any socially productive activity is the power to communicate ideas, information and strategies to multiple stakeholders through videos, posters, brochures, flipbooks, banners, etc. The information to be shared is often of a sensitive nature and needs to be handled with finesse to keep from offending the sensibilities of the target audience.
Our excellent conceptualization and designing team with their combined experience, insight and talent present issues in the social development sector, aesthetically through the print and audio-visual media in English, Odia or Hindi.
Research and Surveys.
Projects and programmes are based on research and surveys that help decide on geographical area, targets audience and implementation procedures. Surveys are also carried out to see if the project / programme is on target or whether they have achieved their goals.
We specialize in Needs Assessments, Baselines, End-lines, Mid-terms and Concurrent evaluations. We have a team of executives spread across the State, with experience in the social sector, capable of collecting data from the field, while our core team has the ability to develop questionnaires, monitor and supervise data collection, clean, compile, analyse the data and develop a report based on the analysis.
Film and Entertainment.
It is truly said that a picture speaks a thousand words. Today not many have the time or the inclination to go through a sheaf of documents and a simple video gets the point across as well as ensures memory retention. The audio-visual medium can be used to document issues, processes, case studies and success stories to provide a better and far easier way of communicating the same to any audience. Radio jingles and video spots enhance the visibility of any programme, project or event and the media can be used to reach a wider audience. Branding and media management are no longer a luxury but essential to any programme, project, event or campaign. Education and Skill Development.
At Aakaar we sincerely believe in the maxim, “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; show him how to catch fish, and you feed him for a lifetime”. Skill development is the only way to ensure that people dependent on seasonal livelihood options are able to earn a living throughout the year. Towards this end our team comprising of educationists, trainers and specialists in a number of skills undertake to offer alternative livelihood options to people living in rural areas. This may be as part of CSR activities of the corporate sector or a programme/project to develop the skills of marginalised communities.
Event Management.
Our event management services include identifying and securing a suitable venue, designing invitations and hiring and setting-up the required equipment and caterers. We design and erect stalls, booths or tableaus for promotional purposes.
Media Management.
Today the media plays a pivotal role in the success or failure of any project. Media management is a specialized art and no longer the informal invitations that were handed out earlier. Our media management team will ensure that your events receive the maximum media coverage.
Website Development and Maintenance.

We design leaflets, brochures, posters and a large range of illustrated or photo based IEC material for print and web media.
